Product Information

I am the first to admit that the photography on this site does not do my work justice. Photographing a 3-D shadowbox is difficult for the experienced photographer let alone a novice. Please be aware that all of my artwork is photographed without the shadowbox frame or glass. Although this makes a clearer picture, it takes away the true look and feel of the artwork as it looks within the shadowbox.

All of my work is framed using conservation materials including UV protected glass, acid free mats and adhesives. In addition, all of my recent button flowers are now constructed using rust and corrosion proof stainless steel wire. A better alternative to the craft wire I used to use.

Product Care

Please care for my work like you would any other fine piece of art:

  • Avoid hanging the piece in direct sunlight! Although I use UV glass, it does not protect against all the harmful rays of the sun.
  • Avoid hanging or storing in areas with extreme temperature or moisture changes. This includes attics or basements or over forced air vents. Also avoid keeping the art in areas of high humidity as this may cause the mats to warp.
  • Always clean glass with a small amount of window cleaner that does NOT include ammonia. Clean frames with a slightly damp cloth.

I create all of my art with the idea that it will become a family heirloom. Using the tips above will ensure that your piece can be passed down to generations to come.
